For
more than half a century my family and I have
been involved in both business and education in
Siskiyou County. My personal vocation and
avocation for almost 30 years has been
education. I have taught Spanish, German,
English as a Second Language and GED courses for
the College of the Siskiyous. I also served on
the local school board for 9 years, two of those
as president. As a board member for the Winema
Girl Scout Council, which serves northern
California and southern Oregon, I was involved
in an an extended project of great personal
interest, reno- vation of the Girl Scout Camp at
Lake of the Woods in Oregon. So many young girls
have wonderful memories of spending long summer
evenings around the camp fire telling stories
and singing traditional Girl Scout songs.
My young daughter's interest and active
participation in dressage and show jumping has
shown me how helpful and beneficial horse back
riding can be. I helped organize our local
therapeutic riding program "Stable
Hands" and am still a board member and
secretary of that group.
Knowledge and contacts with the people and
places of this lovely area of California have
made my transition into real estate very
natural. I am currently a member of the
California Association of Realtors and the
Siskiyou County Board of Realtors. Please let me
